"Oh dear Lord," you said quietly. The large upstairs bathroom became very hot all of a sudden and it was hard to breath. You held back a few tears and you let out a choked breath.
Was this possible? Yes. Of course it was. You and Arthur had been married two years. 'Will Arthur be displease? Maybe he wanted to wait longer...' these thoughts and more raced through your mind as you washed your hands and threw away the pregnancy tests. Yes you took two pregnancy tests just to be safe, and yes, both came up positive.
You walked downstairs to the kitchen, opening the kitchen window for a few minute as you cooked dinner for you and Arthur. You always cooked; Arthur tried to cook for you as an anniversary present on your guyses first anniversary...That failed miserably and you ended up calling your friend Yao, who works at a Chinese take-out resturant, to deliver you take out.
Anyways, Arthur loves your cooking, and always loves having dinner after work and stressful meetings.
You shut the window as you finally were able to breath. You set out the mashed potatoes and lamb on the table. You hear the door open, indicating that Arthur is home from his meeting.
"Hello, love," he says, walking into the kitchen, loosening his tie, hugging you and kissing your lips tenderly. You kissed back of course, but not as passionately as he. Arthur pulled back, looking at you worriedly.
"Are you alright?" you nodded, smiling.
"Dinner's ready. Would you like some?"
"'d love some." he said, ushering you over to your seat, pulling it out and pushing you in. You nodded a thank you and the both of you dug into the food you'd made.
"How was the meeting?" expecting what you ended up hearing anyway.
"Absolutly horrid! Alfred was annoying as always, spending so much money on useless things, Francis was just being annoying and a pervert to all the maid-servants, the scary Russian man, Ivan, kept staring at me and chanting some creepy Russian words..." and he went on for a while, making sounds of agknolegement and nodding once and a while.
After dinner, you brought the dishes to the kitchen sink and ran the water, cleaning with soap and a sponge, humming along until you said to Arthur, not facing him, "I need to tell you something."
He looked up from his book from the couch with worried eyes. He could hear the slight distress in your voice.
"What's wrong, love?" you turned his way a moment then turned back to the dishes. You sighed and built up your courage quickly and asked, "Do you ever want...children?"
He was taken aback by this for a moment and replied, "Well one day...But I don't know if I'm ready. I mean it's a pretty wicked responsibility and it takes a lot." You breathed out and sucked back in, holding back a tear.
"Well, I'd love to have children one day. It wouldn't be so bad, no would it?" you asked. Arthur shook his head. "Why?" he asked after a long bit of silence. You put down the dishes, dried your hands and sat next to Arthur.
You put your hands on your lap and looked down. "I-No, we're having a baby, Arthur," you finally said. You didn't know why, but you felt as if Arthur was going to reject you for some reason. Like he didn't want to have children, like he would be displeased and angry.
But he wasn't.
He put his palms on your cheeks, making you look up at him and he grinned. He kissed you a few times on the cheeks and forehead before looking into your eyes and staring. He saw you had a tear in your eye and wiped it away, smiling.
"Love, I couldn't be happier."

Really A Family 2 EnglandxReader
Feeling utterly exhausted, you collapsed on your bed and lazily burrowed into your pillows. You'd never imagined having children would drain you to this extent. You loved your babies, but holy crap did they require a lot of your time. They were just over three months and very healthy, but sometimes you wondered where they got all of their energy from. You knew that the moment they learned to crawl, they'd be all over the place. You and Arthur had already started making the whole house baby-proof. Locks were set on all the cabinets and drawers, gates were put up at the top and bottom of the stairs, and you had both started a habit of closing d

You ran your fingers through the blond locks of your youngest son, big violet eyes looking up at her, and you couldn't help but 'awww' loudly as you embraced the small child.
"Mommy, what are you doing?" A small voice came out slightly muffled as you let him go.
"Well, you were just so cute that I wanted to snuggle into you." His plump cheeks turned a soft red as he tried his best to make a pouty face, which only resulted in him looking even cuter.
"I-I'm not cute..." Letting out a small laugh, you kissed the top of his head.
"Whatever you say, honey." The soft padding of quick steps was heard and soon a small figure came into your line o

Everything I Ask For- Pregnant!ReaderxEngland
"Are you ok?" I glance upwards into the startlingly vivid eyes, jolted out of my thoughts.
"Oh...yes, I'm fine." I give a smile, a tender hand ghosting over my cheek as Arthur brushes past to prepare some tea with fondness in his eyes. We've spent the entire day indoors, entwined in each-other's arms and savouring the peace and quiet. It's warm and homely in his quaint little abode, and we both adore the feeling of being curled up beneath mountains of blankets with warm mugs of tea. It's now a habit of ours, I suppose; more often that not we're spending our Saturdays in this tranquil state, oblivious to everything but each-other. Or rather t
